Glasses are the same the world over, or at least that's the common
perception. Yet nothing could be further from the truth. Although
they were invented as early as the 13th century, new eyeglasses
have regularly been developed ever since, in different forms and
shapes, and made of different materials. "It's like music," says
Sven Götti, "you think you've heard it all, but new melodies and
songs are constantly being composed."
